Panettone Panfròla with Live Sourdough

For 38 years, we have been making artisan panettones using live sourdough starter. Although sourdough starter has become fashionable today, for us it is a well-established tradition.

Our special product, Panfròla, is a unique panettone that we created with the aim of offering something different from traditional Christmas sweets. Panfròla is designed to be enjoyed all year round.

We chose to highlight a local product: strawberries. The strawberries used in Panfròla come from the Peveragno consortium and are cultivated by the young people of the Ambrosino Day Center in Peveragno.

Thanks to our collaboration with the Municipality of Peveragno, the Pro Loco, and the operators of the Ambrosino Club, we were able to include 1.2 kg of fresh strawberries in a 500 gr panettone.

Panfròla is made with fresh Peveragno strawberries, both dehydrated and candied, stone-ground type 1 wheat flour, cane sugar, fresh dairy butter, fresh type A egg yolks from Agricola Sciandra, Cuneo almonds, and malted barley flour. It contains no preservatives, additives, or added flavors.

This large leavened product does not contain colorants or preservatives, so it has a short recommended shelf life. It is best consumed within 30 days from the production date. Improper storage may cause unwanted mold formation.
