On August 15th, for those seeking the refreshing atmosphere of the Vicesi hills, we have organized a special event exclusively for friends. It will be a unique opportunity to enjoy Asada meat cooked with my asadero. The meat will be marinated in cacao beer and slowly cooked over a beech and oak wood fire.

To accompany the meal, we will serve Yule Cacao Beer, along with Splanga, a blonde beer from my friend Lelio, which we will tap especially for Ferragosto.

But that’s not all: on August 15th, we will also feature a truly unique experience. We will put into operation the ancient CONCA PIANA by Lheman Barth from 1897, the oldest and still operational chocolate processing machine in the world. A true artifact of rare beauty.

11 AM: Visit to the Small Chocolate Museum

At 11 AM, Mary Vinai Bessone will welcome guests with a tour of the Small Chocolate Museum. During the visit, a documentary video will illustrate the journey of cacao before it reaches Vicoforte. You will learn about the harvesting, fermentation, and drying of cacao, and how we respect the farmers. You will also see our laboratory, where, with patience and ancient knowledge, we transform cacao into exquisite tablets and pralines.

In preview, we will present the 2025 Praline Collection. We have been working on this new collection for Valentine's Day in Japan, a highly competitive market. The new Heart Pralines line will be available from October for our best customers, and you will have an exclusive opportunity to taste it during the Ferragosto visit.

  • Aperitif: Splanga (craft beer from master brewer Lelio Bottero)
  • Appetizer: Cagliatina with cacao grue and Mexican sauce
  • Main Course: Salsiccia d'Vì with beef (from Gazzera butcher)
  • First Course: Tajarin tricolori with porcini mushrooms
  • Main Course: Carne Asada (with a vegetarian alternative) with grilled vegetables
  • Dessert: Ferragosto sweet à la Brigna (Dalmassine plums from the Bessone family)
  • Tasting: 2025 Chocolate Selection

Drinks by the glass included: Yule Beer and Piedmontese wines (Dolcetto, Favorita, Moscato DOCG)
